JOHN DALY is in action this week at the PGA Championship and has caused quite the stir.
The 56-year-old is back in action and hoping to win his third golf major at Bethpage Black.
Daly has wowed spectators with his colourful outfits, Father Christmas-esque beard and his use of the good old golf buggy.
The former PGA Championship winner hasn’t won a major since 1995, when he picked up an Open title.
Now it’s looking like Daly plays golf purely for leisure and the love of the game.

Why is John Daly using a golf cart at the PGA Championship?
Golfers are not usually allowed to ride golf carts at PGA Tour events and are obliged to walk between shots.
Daly was approved to use a golf cart for this week’s PGA Championship by the PGA of America.
He’s the first ever player to ride a cart at a major since Casey Martin did so back in 2012, and 14 years before that in 1998 at the US Open.
Daly has arthritis in his right knee that he has said keeps him from walking any longer than six holes on the golf course.
“I hope I don’t get a lot of grief from the fans,” Daly said.

“My knee is screwed. I had the meniscus cut out. I have osteoarthritis so bad… I can walk up a hill, I just can’t walk down one.”
The PGA of America said that Daly provided “the requisite information to allow for a review of his request by the PGA’s medical team”.
Last year, Daly tried to play at the US Senior Open but his request to use a cart was denied.
“Just going to give the knee a rest. Don’t know what’s ahead for me,” Daly said at the time.
