THIS year’s 1000 Guineas is nearly upon us – and it looks to be going the way of one horse.
Santa Barbara has been the subject of a monster gamble, shortening from 33-1 to just 6-4.
This all despite only racing ONCE in her career.
The 1000 Guineas, for fillies aged three, is part of the Guineas Festival at Newmarket and the race will be run on Sunday, May 2.
The 2000 Guineas, which is for colts and fillies aged three, is run the day before.
