Amazing result for women jockeys as SIX including Hollie Doyle and Saffie Osborne all ride winners on the same day

SIX women jockeys were celebrating a bumper day of winners – after scooping a tidy £25,000 between them.

Hollie Doyle and Saffie Osborne were among the big names inside the winner’s enclosure at tracks Wolverhampton, Yarmouth and Redcar.

Doyle was one of the six women jockeys to win a race on a titanic Tuesday

Osborne and Joanna Mason were the big winners on the day with two each.

Saffie, daughter of former jockey-turned-trainer Jamie who impressed so much in the Racing League, was on fire in the Midlands.

Sunshine Fun was a 6-1 winner for her in the 5.20 before Astaroth obliged at 5-4 an hour later.

For Mason, her whopping 84-1 double at Redcar was tinged with sadness as it came after the recent passing of her uncle.

She was a game winner of the 2.45 on 11-2 Copper And Five and told Racing TV afterwards how much the victory on the Ruth Carr-trained runner meant.

Mason said: “He used to watch all my races and have £2.50 each-way on me, so this win is for him.

“He loved following me and when he was getting more unwell, we kept sending him videos and hopefully that kept him going.”

The double came when Mason landed a 1m6f contest on 12-1 Pound Off You by a neck from 7-2 Major Snugfit.

Superstar Doyle scooped connections £3240 with her resounding victory on Secret Handsheikj in a 6f sprint at Yarmouth.

She also finished third three times and second twice on a brilliantly consistent day.

But it was Grace McEntee who celebrated the biggest winner of the day.

He 5f win on 12-1 outsider Araifjan in the 4.30 at Yarmouth landed £4590 for connections.

Ella McCain had not finished outside the top two in her past three rides by the time she took the mount of Wade’s Magic at Redcar.

She ran out a neck winner in the 6f sprint from second-placed 6-1 shot Mutanaaseq.

And there was joy for Faye McManoman too, who made it two wins in three days with victory on 9-4 As If By Chance, again at Redcar.

Osborne has been in brilliant form lately and banged in two more winners on Tuesday
