Arc de Triomphe: British raiders given boost with travel exemptions meaning John Gosden can watch Enable at Longchamp

OLIVIER PESLIER is set to keep the ride on Stradivarius in the Arc despite Andrea Atzeni now being available.

On Tuesday night the BHA announced that jockeys and trainers heading to Longchamp could now be exempt from full quarantine on their return.

Atzeni has won three times on Stradivarius

It means the likes of Atzeni, Jim Crowley and Oisin Murphy who all wished to ride at Future Champions Weekend the following week are free to take in both.

But Atzeni who has ridden Stradivarius to three wins does not expect to get the call up this time round.

He confirmed to Sun Racing: “Olivier Peslier has been booked by Mr Gosden and that’s all sorted.”

The new measures mean that Enable and Stradivarius trainer John Gosden can attend Longchamp in person.

The Newmarket maestro had already expected to be tuned into ITV to watch the action but now could make the journey.

The measures state that any professional making the journey must make it in private with no overnight stays. Cars should have no more than two passengers or private jets can be used with social distancing measures.

Regular testing will be carried out on their return and they must self-isolate apart from attending race days or for training purposes.
