Best bets for Cheltenham Festival 2023 include two winners from this year all set for the same races again

CHELTENHAM Festival has finished after four cracking days at Prestbury Park – and now the attention turns to finding next year’s winners!

No event takes as much ante post punting as the Festival, with bettors staking on horses throughout the year.

Flooring Porter could be a good bet to do it all over again in 2023

The aim is to find a horse at the beginning or mid-way through the next season at a big price.

The hope is that their form stands up and their price shortens throughout the year.

It is a tactic laden with risk – but it can bring huge rewards.

One punter pocketed £113,000 from a £1 each way after all the horses he backed at huge odds won at much shorter prices.

The markets for 2023 have already been open for a few weeks.

Sun Racing takes a look at some eyecatchers who could represent decent value in 12 months’ time.

Back two heroes from this year to do it again

Ryanair winner Allaho and Stayers Hurdle hero Flooring Porter have already been confirmed as going for hat-tricks in the same races in 2023.

Allaho wiped the floor with his rivals and Willie Mullins says he will stick to the exact same path to victory next year.

Gavin Cromwell said he had no intention to change Flooring Porter’s route either.

Who knows what will spring out of the pack between now and then but their convincing wins this year bode well for the future.

Allaho in the 2023 Ryanair – 5-2

Flooring Porter in the 2023 Stayers Hurdle – 5-1

Talking horse of Twitter

There is no doubt that Demandrivingdouvan is already causing a bit of a stir.

An exciting point-to-point winner he has been bought by top connections and put in training with Gordon Elliott.

There are so many unknowns ahead – including which race he goes in – but the odds are available for two.

You can get the horse at 22-1 for the Champion Bumper or 33-1 for the Supreme.

Viva Las Vega

Facile Vega was a simply amazing winner of the Champion Bumper on Wednesday.

The son of six-time Mares Hurdle winner Quevega, Willie Mullins expects huge things of Facile Vega.

But anything can happen in the racing world and of course any punt this far out comes with risk.

Still, a tickle at 4-1 in the Ballymore could represent great value in 12 months.
