RACING fans are in for a treat with 10 meetings across Great Britain and Ireland on Boxing Day!

So sit back and enjoy the top-class action as we guide you through all you need to know on the big day of racing.

KEMPTON

The big meeting of the day is of course at Kempton where the King George takes place. The ITV cameras will be heading to the track and broadcasting the racing from 1.20pm – 3.05pm with the Grade 1 King George due off at 3.05pm.

Race schedule: There are six races on the card with the first contest due off at 12.50pm and the final race at 3.40pm.

Feature races: Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices’ Chase (1.55pm), Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle (2.30pm) and the Grade 1 King George VI Chase (3.05pm).

Going: The going is currently Soft.

TV channel: You can watch all the racing at Kempton on Racing TV (Sky channel 426, Virgin channel 536). ITV 1 will show four races between 1.20pm – 3.05pm.

LEOPARDSTOWN (IRE)

It’s the first day of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival and we are in for a treat. The Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase is the highlight of the day due off at 2.20pm.

Race schedule: There are seven races on the card with the first race due off at 12.10pm and the final race at 3.30pm.

Feature races: Grade 2 Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle (1.10pm), Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase (2.20pm).

Going: The going is currently Soft, Yielding in places.

TV channel: You can watch all the racing from Leopardstown on Racing TV (Sky channel 426, Virgin channel 536). If you’re in Ireland RTE2 will show the racing from 1.10pm-2.55pm.

WETHERBY

Wetherby hosts another good card for us to get stuck into with the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase the highlight of the day.

Race schedule: There are seven races on the card with the first contest due off at 11.55pm and the final race at 3.20pm.

Feature races: Grade 3 Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase (2.10pm).

Going: The going is currently Soft.
