Promised to bring two days of fun and excitement, today was Ladies Day.

Brits gathered from around the country and place bets on star-studded horses.

However, troubles were sparked at the side of the racecourse this afternoon as revellers seemed unable to handle their alcohol.

Lads with bloodied hands and faces swung for each other just outside a tent were people were enjoying themselves.

The chaotic scenes saw suited and booted men fall to the floor after being smashed up against a concrete wall.

One thug was pictured with gritted teeth grabbing someone’s head before launching them to the ground.

Another man, who appears to have a bottle of vodka in his pocket, got involved in the grapple as a woman tried breaking up the crowds.

The brawl erupted as Frankie Dettori rode to victory on horse Emily Upjohn.

It is not yet clear if cops arrested anybody – but two racegoers were kicked out.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Our event security team responded swiftly and decisively to an incident on course earlier this afternoon, which resulted in two racegoers being ejected.

“Responsible behaviour from spectators is a condition of attendance.

“We have a clear code of conduct and take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of anti-social behaviour.”

Despite the disturbance, many refused to let it ruin their day.
