Eyes on Naas as Aidan O’Brien’s top horse makes debut

Tonight, all eyes in the racing world will be focused on Naas as the highly anticipated debut of Gallantly, tipped to be Aidan O'Brien's best horse, takes place.

Rave reviews from jockey

Gallantly, a two-year-old colt, has been generating buzz after jockey Seamie Heffernan gave him high praise. Heffernan, who typically rides O'Brien's second string, was asked which horse he would choose to ride in next year's 2000 Guineas. Despite having other contenders like City Of Troy and Henry Longfellow, Heffernan named Gallantly as the standout horse.

Bookies taking no chances

Bookmakers have taken note of the hype surrounding Gallantly. After opening with odds of 15-8, the colt's chances have been heavily backed, now standing at 4-6. This horse could potentially go off at even shorter odds.

Pedigree and jockey

Ridden by jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle, Gallantly is the son of Frankel and his dam is none other than Precieuse, the winner of the French 1000 Guineas. Owned by Brant, Magnier, Tabor, and Smith, the colt will compete in the 5.25 race at Naas, covering a distance of seven furlongs.

Future prospects

Although Gallantly doesn't currently have an entry for the 2000 Guineas, he is priced at 33-1 for next month's Dewhurst, where City Of Troy is set to return. Additionally, he has odds of 16-1 for the Group 1 Doncaster Futurity Trophy, which will take place two weeks later. The outcome of his debut will heavily influence his future plans.

All eyes will be on Gallantly as he takes to the track, and racing enthusiasts eagerly await the debut of Aidan O'Brien's potentially best horse.
