Frankie Dettori's final ever ride in the prestigious Arc de Triomphe has received a surprising boost as his odds have been slashed from 66-1 to 16-1. The legendary jockey is set for a potential fairytale sendoff in Paris.
Free Wind Chosen as Dettori's Final Mount
Dettori will be riding Free Wind, trained by John & Thady Gosden, in the highly-anticipated Longchamp feature on Sunday. The five-year-old mare has been backed heavily, following her impressive performances earlier in the season.
A Winning Partnership
Free Wind, ridden by Dettori in all four of her races this season, recently clinched victory in the Group 2 Middleton Fillies' Stakes at York. Despite narrowly missing out on a win in the Yorkshire Oaks, she showed promise and seems to have found her stride over a mile and a half.
Record-Breaking Jockey
Dettori, 52, holds the record for the most Arc de Triomphe wins by a jockey, having triumphed six times. His most notable victories came aboard wondermare Enable in 2017 and 2018.

As the highly anticipated race approaches, bookmaker Paddy Power currently lists Ace Impact as the solid 5-2 market leader. Other notable contenders include Hukum at 9-2, Westover and Continuous (pending supplementation) at 6-1, and Feed The Flame at 7-1.
