Why were statues built to honor Frankie Dettori?

The first statue was erected in 2001 by Ascot to commemorate Frankie's remarkable feat of riding all seven winners on a single day during the Festival Of British Racing in 1996.

The second statue, unveiled in 2023 by Queen Camilla, pays tribute to Dettori's unmatched contribution to the racecourse, where he achieved 81 victories at Royal Ascot and 229 overall.

Are there any murals of Frankie Dettori?

Several murals were unveiled in 2023 to celebrate Frankie Dettori's racing career.

The first mural, created by leading street artists MurWalls, was a surprise reveal for Dettori at Epsom Downs in April 2023.

A second mural was unveiled at Sandown Park's Summer Festival in July 2023.

Additionally, two giant murals were unveiled at Newmarket racecourse. One overlooks the finishing line and is inspired by Dettori's 2011 QIPCO 1000 Guineas win on Blue Bunting. The other was created live during the Dubai Future Champions Festival in October 2023.

Newmarket Racecourses expressed their delight in marking this momentous occasion and adding a permanent tribute to Frankie Dettori, acknowledging his significant contributions to British racing throughout his illustrious career.
