ONE lucky winner has the chance to own a racehorse for an entire year through the Racehorse Lotto Racing League Raffle.
The winner will be the sole owner of three-year-old filly Majestic Tejaan from September 3 to October 20 next year.
You will be able to choose the trainer from a list including Mark Johnston, Roger Varian, Richard Fahey, George Boughey, James Ferguson, William Knight, Stuart Williams, Amy Murphy, Eve Johnson Houghton, Tom Clover, and Richard Hannon.
And you will will be able to design your own set of silks and take home the owners’ cut of any prize-money she wins.
Once the year is up, Majestic Tejaan will go to the sales and the raffle winner will receive 50% of the proceeds.
Majestic Tejaan is by the top stallion Zoffany out of the mare Maybe So.
She has been consistent in 10 starts so far, winning once and finishing second four times.
Zoffany was one of the best two-year-old’s of 2010 when he won five of his seven races including the Golden Fleece Stakes, Tyros Stakes and Phoenix Stakes.
There has been a lot of success in the family bloodline. Most recently, Classic winner Mother Earth took the Group 1 Prix Rothschild at Deauville last month.
There are a number of consolation prizes, including a trip for two to the Dubai World Cup next March.
A single ticket to enter the raffle costs £10, three or more costs £9 and eight or more costs £8. The deadline to enter is September 2.
And 10% of the money raised will be donated to Racing To School, an education charity that aims to inspire young people through the provision of free, interactive, and healthy outdoor educational events for schools, staged at a variety of racing venues.
