Galway races security in disbelief after finding £570 pair of designer heels dumped in bin

SECURITY members at the Galway races were left in disbelief after finding a pair of £570 designer heels in the bin.

The apparent Manolo Blahniks were found by bemused staff at the race meet in a bin next to rubbish such as a coffee cup and paper plate.

A pair of shoes believed to be Manolo Blahniks were found in the bin at the Galway races

The shoes’ brand is a high-end fashion designer

Security staff figured that the pair were worth £570

And were left bemused that they were simply dumped in a bin

They discovered that the shoes resemble the same shoe as one made by the high-end fashion brand.

The shoes sell for at least £570 online and journalist Teresa Mannion shared the discovery on Twitter.

And racing fans on social media were coming up with plenty of ideas of what should happen to the shoes now.

One Tweeted: “Give them to a charity shop.”

A second commented: “Unbelievable and they look the real deal. I’m sure they’ll go to a good home now or a charity shop. Mad.”

A third wrote: “Hopefully they can be sold for a charity to benefit from Cinderella at the races
?.”

A fourth said: “In the bin? Damn, there are plenty of worthy charity shops in Galway they could have been donated to for any of their monthly window display auctions.”

While another added: “Sell them and give the money to the homeless kitchens.”

However, some were more thinking of the former owner.

One joked: “Let’s hope she won enough to purchase a new pair.”

While a second chimed in with: “I imagine there is a very, unhappy hungover woman in Galway today.”

It is not the only thing to have happened of note at the race meet as people were all left saying the same thing about a “blasphemous” pint of Guinness.
