Grand National tickets rapidly selling out with HUGE crowd to hit Aintree for ‘greatest ever’ day of racing

TICKETS are rapidly selling out for the Grand National Festival – with a HUGE crowd set to hit Aintree for ‘one of the greatest ever days of racing’.

All five grandstands are now sold out for the National on Saturday week.

The Aintree Grand National Festival looks like drawing a massive crowd over the three days next week

There is still availability in the Embankment, which is close to the first fence on the National course and a long way from the finishing post.

There is only limited availability remaining for all enclosures on Thursday’s opening day and Friday’s Ladies Day.

Some 64,902 punters piled into Aintree to see 50-1 Noble Yeats win the big one last year.

But that figure looks to be smashed this year, with racegoers defying the cost of living crisis to meet up with friends, have a drink and place a bet.

Dickon White, Regional Director for The Jockey Club North West, said for all the glitz and glamour of Saturday, it is actually the Thursday that could have the best action.

He said: “Ticket sales have been strong so far this year and all grandstands have now sold out on Randox Grand National Day.

“We do still have availability for the Embankment, which offers the opportunity to be right at the heart of the action.

“We have limited availability across all enclosures on Opening Day and Ladies Day and I would advise racegoers to book as soon as possible to ensure they get their preferred option.

“Opening Day looks set to be one of the greatest ever days of jump racing in Britain and with four Grade One contests plus action over the Grand National fences – it offers a tremendous value day out with prices starting from £32.”

There are four Grade 1s on the Thursday with showstopping superstar Constitution Hill returning to action.

He runs in the Aintree Hurdle while stablemate Shishkin looks to put his runner-up in the Ryanair behind him in star-studded Aintree Bowl.

A Plus Tard, Ahoy Senor and Bravemansgame all look like taking their place in the line-up too.
