Hollie Doyle is only 5ft tall and weighs just 8st but deadlifts over double her bodyweight and played rugby against boys

HOLLIE DOYLE has the nickname the ‘Pocket Rocket’.

And it is no surprise given the tiny 5ft, 8st jockey is a small powerhouse who can jump almost her entire height.

Doyle can deadlift 125kg – more than double her bodyweight

Doyle admits she needs a ‘kick up the backside’ to get in the gym.

But once she is in there she turns into an animal.

Just take the fact she can deadlift 125kg for example – more than double her bodyweight.

And she can jump leap the height of her shoulders too.

One video of Doyle working out showed her jumping onto boxes which went up to just below her neck.

If you think that’s easy given she is so small, you just try it the next time you go to the gym with boxes up to your shoulders!

Doyle weighs so little but her frame is nearly all muscle, honed from hours in the gym and a lifestyle of dieting all jockeys are used to.

Being as light as possible is of vital important to Doyle because it gives her an advantage over heavier rivals.

Don’t hang around too long when Hollie is in the gym

But she doesn’t go to the gym to keep weight off – she pumps iron packing on muscle.

Speaking of her workouts, she told Sky Sports: “I’m really lucky to be as light as I am so I have just concentrated on strength training.

“There’s a lot of lads who come to the gym and they use the exercises to sweat and lose weight, but I use it to gain weight and muscle mass.

“I’ve always been quite athletic and when I was in school I did every sport going.

“I had no interest in learning anything! I was very sport-orientated. I did everything, rugby, football, hockey, netball.

“I had to give up playing rugby against the boys because they grew and I didn’t.”
