Horse racing punter scoops £4,500 in just 30 MINUTES from £5 bet after outrageous four-fold comes in

ONE shrewd punter was celebrating after scooping a £4,500 jackpot – in just 30 MINUTES.

The horse racing bettor staked just £5 on a four-fold each way which popped during Sunday’s action – which included a terrifying fall for jockey Sam Whaley-Cohen.

They put a paltry £2.50ew on four horses running within half an hour of each other.

And they were jumping for joy when the well-backed Coby Nine won at 6-1 in the 3.40 at Stratford.

The bet started 30 minutes earlier at the same venue.

Big outside chance Minnie Escape landed the 3.10 Wilmcote Handicap Hurdle over 2m at long odds of 18-1.

The Victor Dartnall-trained horse saw off 7-2 Lady Cylla and hot favourite Scrutinise at 3-1 to land the spoils.

It was then over to Welsh track Ffos Las where young jockey Kai Lenihan bagged his first winner on Seaston Spirit in the 3.25.

The 16-1 shot absolutely decimated its rivals, beating 13-8 favourite Out The Glen by a whopping 21 lengths.

With two of out four in the bag it was over to Sandown for the Veterans’ Handicap Chase at 3.30.

In an absolute thriller, 4-1 chance Step Back just held off the challenge of 11-2 chance Crosspark, with 7-2 favourite Sametegal in third.

The final leg of the four-fold started right after that race and the bet came in as Coby Nine hit the front in the final 110 yards of the 2m 3f race.

Betway PR Manager Chad Yeomans said: “It was certainly the luckiest winning bet we had this weekend! To cop the 18/1 and 16/1 winners in the first two legs, both just ten minutes apart was brilliant picking.

“I wonder if the customer knew that had picked four races within a short time frame of each other or whether it was just coincidence?”
