BEFORE we get into the week, because the BHA investigation is still ongoing, I’m afraid I cannot make any comment.

And as far as everything else goes…well I can tell when things are hotting up because I tend to spend a lot more money in Gloucester services!

SunSport columnist Frost will celebrate the life of the late Stewart at Cheltenham

It was certainly that way on Thursday, when I had a nice ride on Sorbet at Ludlow for Lucy Wadham, and just had time to dash in and pick up my dinner on the way home.

Pasta pots, Caesar salads, and of course some good chips…anything that’s quick and easy will do for me after racing.

Especially when you’re trying to sort out a drains problem, like I’ve been this week. Squelching through a huge puddle outside the front door isn’t ideal!

When I was a kid, I was always the one shoved onto the roof to clear the leaves, but that won’t be happening this time. It’ll be a phone call to dad or Bob for a bit of help, I think.

I’ve joined the ranks of all those who say ‘why didn’t I clear the drains and gutters when it was dry.’

Although I don’t have a ride at Cheltenham today, I’m going along to celebrate the life of Andy Stewart, who was an absolutely phenomenal man.

They have got a big marquee at the track and it’s a chance to pay my respects again to someone I knew very well and played a massive part in my career.

I rode Pacha Du Polder to win the Foxhunters there in 2017, which was the first time I really stood on the big stage, and Mr Stewart gave me the opportunity.

And of course there was Black Corton, who was my first Grade One victory in one particularly awesome year we had together.

I remember Mr Stewart inviting me and my brother Hadden to Barbados, and for an untravelled young girl it was a week I’ll never forget, we just had the best time ever.

Stewart, middle right holding trophy, was a giant of the National Hunt world

He was just so cool – he even used to wear the same colour watch as his shorts! – who lived life to its fullest. I was very lucky to ride winners in his silks.

Talking of winners, Frodon has his bags packed ready for Down Royal next Saturday, and the Champion Steeplechase. It’s been a long time since I’ve been sorting out flights and hotels.

The word is it’s a big, galloping track and when you’re on a horse like Frode, it doesn’t get more exciting than that. I can’t wait.

Until next week, as ever, stay safe and keep kicking,
