Having been off since finishing a narrow second in the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot for the second year in a row, champion jockey Oisin Murphy managed to get the 13-8 favourite into a lovely rhythm early doors.
The gelding was still tanking approaching the final couple of furlongs, where he virtually pulled his way to the front, and once shaken up he quickly put daylight between himself and the rest.
Breathtaking Look (17-2) held on for second, with Symbolize (9-1) back in third, but this was a one horse race.
