ITV Racing is gearing up for a record TEN straight hours of coverage on a blockbuster Super Saturday stretching from Doncaster to Kentucky via Down Royal.
Popular presenter Ed Chamberlin is grateful to be getting ten minutes’ respite to change his outfit when he heads this weekend’s marathon day of punting.
Super Saturday on ITV4 will feature a stellar card from the Breeders’ Cup in the US – as well as top action in Britain and Ireland
The domestic action kicks off on ITV4 at 12.25pm and the big race will be at Wincanton where the Badger Beer Handicap Chase will take centre stage.
Three races on the Flat at Doncaster, the Grand Sefton Handicap Chase at Aintree and the A-list Ladbrokes Champion Steeplechase from Down Royal will play a strong supporting role.
Punters will get enough time to fetch a cuppa from 3.30pm to 3.40pm, when the top class Breeders’ Cup action from Keeneland kicks off.
You can follow that all the way through until coverage ends at 10.30pm – just over ten hours and 20 races after it all began!
Chamberlin is buzzing for a huge day of racing – and racing fans should be thanking him and ITV for their faultless commitment to the sport.
The former Sky Football presenter told Sun Racing: “I’m really looking forward to it.
“It must be some kind of record – though I do get a ten-minute break at 3.30pm to change clothes!
“The best thing is that the afternoon has something for everyone.
“There’s top jumping, the Grand National fences, last day of the Flat, the big race in Ireland and the Breeders’ Cup.
“I’m in the UK in a studio in Wincanton and Oli Bell will be out in the US reporting for us. It should be fun!”

The Paul Nicholls-trained ten-year-old is second-favourite behind 9-2 stablemate Enrilo.
Galvin has had the Ladbrokes Champion Chase pencilled in as his Gold Cup for some time, according to trainer Gordon Elliott.
And the star chaser is 7-4 favourite to win at 2.32pm.
While over in the States, Group 1 sensation Highfield Princess will look to continue her red-hot run against Wesley Ward’s Golden Pal in a mouthwatering match-up.
John Quinn’s sprinter is 5-2 best price currently with Golden Pal 15-8 for the Turf Sprint at 4.29pm.
Hollie Doyle could land a mega-money Grade 1 with Nashwa in the Filly & Mare Turf at 5.50pm.
While Modern Games and Kinross will square off in a brilliant duel in the Breeders’ Cup Mile at 7.10pm.
While unbeaten superstar Flightline will put his reputation as the world’s best horse on the line in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at 9.40pm.
