He was found guilty of abusing Marco Ghiani while the jockeys were going down to the start of the 2.25 race.

The stewards’ report read: “An enquiry was held following a report that Cieren Fallon had used abusive language towards Marco Ghiani on the way to the start.

“Fallon, Ghiani and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed.

“Having heard their evidence, Fallon was found guilty of improper conduct and suspended for two days.”

Fallon finished last in the race on huge outsider Happy Craf, while Ghiani came 11th on Soft Whisper.

Fallon had a tough time before the Whispering Angel Oak Tree Stakes run over 7f and won by Oscula.

He had to dismount 125-1 roughie Happy Craf and walk the five-year-old down to the start after she kept playing up.

Cameras captured the horse running rings around the jockey as he tried to calm her down before the contest on day two of the festival.

It is not clear what Fallon said to Ghiani or when exactly it occurred.

But stewards clearly took a dim view of the abuse he dished out and duly banned him.
