Jockey Graham Lee Recovering Well After Surgery Following Horrific Fall

Daughter Amy Sets Up JustGiving Page

Jockey Graham Lee, who won the Grand National in 2004, is currently recovering in intensive care after a serious fall at Newcastle on Friday night. Lee underwent surgery to stabilize fractures in his cervical spine and to protect his spinal cord. While he is recovering well from the surgery, the extent of his long-term recovery is uncertain. Lee's daughter, Amy, has set up a JustGiving page to support his recovery, which has already raised over £80,000 from racing fans around the world.

Support from the Racing Community

The racing community has rallied around Graham Lee, with legendary jockey AP McCoy expressing his distress and pledging to support Lee for as long as it takes. The Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) has also assured Lee and his family that they will provide any necessary assistance throughout his recovery. Donations to the JustGiving page can be made here.
