The X-ray revealed the full extent of the stomach-churning injury

The extent of the damage was shown in photos circulated on social media – which incredibly showed Jennings smiling after the incident.

Jennings, who is out for at least ten weeks, was shown being attended to by racecourse medics after the horror fall at Goulburn racecourse in Australia.

His left arm juts in unnaturally just after the elbow before bending out the other way.

An X-ray image of his shattered arm revealed the full extent of the horrendous break.

Medics rushed out to help the injured jockey after his fall – which will keep him out for ten weeks

He said: “I won’t be rushing anything because I kind of rushed back a bit quick when I broke my jaw last year and I don’t think that was for the best.

“I was planning to have Christmas off this year and spend it with the family down in Victoria so I will take some time.”

Jennings, who has won just under £8million in his career, is hoping to be back in March.
