Jockey’s face smashed in with rock in horrific carjacking outside her house just three weeks before wedding

A TOP jockey has revealed the shocking extent of her injuries after she was bashed in the face with a rock during a carjacking outside her house.

Sonja Wiseman, 31, says she thought she was going to die after a gang of up to 15 men set upon her in a terrifying attack.

Wiseman suffered a busted open nose and lip and had two teeth knocked out in the horrifying attack

The jockey is due to get married in three weeks but has been suffering panic attacks since being set upon

Posting a horrific photo of her cracked nose, Wiseman, who has won more than £3million as a jockey, also had two teeth knocked out and a busted lip.

The early morining attack came just three weeks before she is due to be married.

She had gone outsider her home in Darwin, Australia, to fetch something from her car when the barbaric assault happened.

Wiseman told Punters: “All of a sudden, the glass on the passenger side window shattered.

“I looked up to my left and there was a group of ten to 15 men.

“I don’t know if they initially knew I was in the car but as soon as I looked up, they all started laughing.

“I instantly locked my door and tried to get the keys in the ignition.

“But in my state of freaking out, I then kept turning the ignition even though the car was on.

“We have a manual car and for the life of me I forgot how to use the clutch.

“They were on the driver’s side door trying to get it open.

“They were saying,’we are going to get out of the car you b***h’. I was so terrified.

“These men were literally like a pack of coyotes going on a hunt.

“I was screaming, I knew it was going to be bad. My partner Tommy Logan was asleep in the house.

“One of the men was circling the car with a metal or timber object.

“They then smashed me in the face with a rock, broke my nose in three places, cut my lip and smashed my teeth.

“I tried to drive off the wrong way down the road, but a group of them blocked me.

“I just screaming and honking my horn. I was saying ‘they are going to kill me’.”

The attack only ended when security guards from a nearby army barracks heard Wiseman’s car horn and rushed to her rescue.

A neighbour who heard the commotion also arrived and wrapped the jockey’s face in a towel before she was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Wiseman, who has suffered panic attacks since the event, said: “I’m getting married in three weeks, so I’m pretty upset on a lot of fronts that I have got facial injuries like I have got at the moment.

“But I’m also lucky that I’m alive, I was really fearing the worst when I was trapped in my car.

“It is crazy to think you are not safe sitting in your car.”
