Legendary Jockeys Noel Fehily and Richard Johnson Take on New Roles

Retired, But Far from Gone

After dominating the racing world for decades, jockeys Richard Johnson and Noel Fehily may have retired from the saddle, but they haven't left the scene just yet.

Setting Up a Syndicate

Both Johnson and Fehily had plans for life after racing. Fehily teamed up with fellow ex-jockey Dave Crosse to set up a syndicate, aiming for quality horses and big wins.

A Syndicate on the Rise

Their syndicate has seen tremendous growth, with 33 horses in training, including Grade 1 winners and a Royal Ascot runner.

Overcoming Challenges

Even the Covid-19 pandemic couldn't stop Fehily and Crosse's syndicate. They continued selling shares during lockdown and managed to navigate the difficult period successfully.

Chasing That Elusive Cheltenham Win

Both Fehily and Johnson have their sights set on winning at the Cheltenham Festival. Fehily came agonizingly close last year and hopes to make amends with Love Envoi.

From Jockey to Breeder

Johnson, on the other hand, delved into breeding after retiring. He's now involved in a syndicate and has found success with his first two horses, Imperial Saint and Party Vibes.

The Competitive Edge

While Johnson admits to missing riding, he finds solace in the competitive nature of the syndicate and has no plans to come out of retirement anytime soon.

Expanding their Dominance

Both Fehily and Johnson have plans to expand their operations, signaling that their dominance in the racing world continues even after retirement.

Legends Never Fade

Johnson and Fehily may have hung up their saddles, but their impact on the sport is far from over. They continue to captivate and inspire, proving that legends never truly fade away.
