Legendary racehorse Frodon retires after incredible career

Bryony Frost pays tribute to her beloved partner

Bryony Frost, the accomplished jockey, is saying goodbye to her best friend and partner, Frodon. The 11-year-old racehorse has officially retired from racing after a remarkable career that included victories at the prestigious King George and Cheltenham Festival.

Glittering career comes to an end

Frodon, who was trained by Paul Nicholls, secured an impressive 19 wins out of 52 starts throughout his career. His total prize money earnings reached a staggering £1.2 million, solidifying his place as one of the greats in the racing world.

A trailblazer on the track

Bryony Frost made history as the first female jockey to win a Grade 1 race over jumps in Britain when she rode Frodon to victory in the Ryanair Chase in 2019. The bond between Frost and Frodon has been unbreakable, and she expressed her gratitude for the privilege of being his partner.

A happy retirement awaits

Frodon will be heading back home to Devon with Frost, where he will join her other retired star, Black Corton. Frost eagerly anticipates having her two beloved horses together and providing Frodon with a joyful and fulfilling life post-racing.

A champion in the eyes of his trainer

Paul Nicholls, Frodon's trainer, praised the horse's consistency and expressed his appreciation for the many victories he brought to their team. He believes that Frodon will thrive in his new home on Exmoor alongside Black Corton, and he has no doubt that Frost will continue to have a great time with him.

As Frodon embarks on this new chapter, his legacy as a true racing legend will live on in the hearts of fans and those who had the pleasure of witnessing his extraordinary talents on the track.
