Lostintranslation in great form ahead of acid test in Betfair Chase

BOLD-JUMPING Lostintranslation faces the biggest test of his career in Saturdays Betfair Chase.

Colin Tizzards electric jumper will bid to dethrone mudlover Bristol De Mai in the Grade 1 contest at Haydock.

Lostintranslation is back for more in Saturday’s Betfair Chase

Winner of last years Mildmay Novices Chase at Aintree, the scopey seven-year-old returned with a bang at Carlisle, dismantling the Colin Parker Memorial field with an electric round of fencing.

Saturdays contest is a rise in grade but he has untapped potential over a trip he clearly stays well, and assistant trainer Joe Tizzard is hopeful of a big run.

He said: Lostintranslation is in great form and this is the next step for him.

Obviously he needs to improve on everything hes ever done on Saturday but it was a hell of a performance at Carlisle.

Defi Du Seuil franked the form of his Dipper Chase victory last year in the Shloer last weekend which is a good sign.

This is his biggest test yet but were very excited about running him.

If hes to land the biggest win of his career hell need to see off a host of challengers, headed by hat-trick seeking Bristol De Mai and Charlie Hall winner Ballyoptic.

Both help give trainer the Twiston-Davies clan a very strong hand in the race, and Sun Racing Ambassador Sam Twiston-Davies is confident theyll acquit themselves well.

Bristol De Mai is attempting a famous hat-trick on Saturday

He said: Ballyoptics in good form at home. Obviously its a really tough race, its a top quality Grade 1.

There are some smart three mile chasers in there and fingers crossed.

Bristol De Mai has won it the last couple of years and Sparky, who looks after him, is very happy.

With Colin Tizzards horse in there it wont be easy but hes been there and done it before and it will take a good one to get past him.
