AIDAN O’Brien only has himself to blame.

It was in 1967 The Beatles told everyone ‘All you need is Love’.

Love won at Royal Ascot but was beaten in the King George

Yet, the Ballydoyle maestro chose Eclipse hero St Mark’s Basilica for the Juddmonte International over Love.

This morning, of course, St Mark’s Basilica was pulled out, leaving Love as a replacement. She’s all you need Aidan!

Wednesday’s Juddmonte International promises to be a cracker, as does the whole York Ebor meeting. Don’t miss a moment on ITV.

I’m so lucky and blessed to be working on telly at York. For many years like you I watched on in awe.

But perhaps unlike many of you, I’d watch aching to have the chance to broadcast from such a fixture.

This week I will be in charge of betting, but also talking to owners and trainers and doing the big-race presentations.

The latter will be over the top for a few, but York like my input and the buzz the presentations get with the crowd.

It’s meant to be fun this game, although there will always be people who dislike what one does! Nothing wrong with that.

Back to the Juddmonte International, and from the speed of SMB to the stamina of Love.

That means the race will be a very different tempo for the speed closers like Alcohol Free and Mohaafeth.

Ryan Moore will want a stamina test. That said, Love is not slow. She’s a Guineas winner.

Many thought High Definition would be a Derby winner, but he was awful last time having been slow in the Dante at York earlier in the season.

High Definition returns in the Great Voltigeur, and if it’s a trial for the St Leger then he is going to be well suited by a stamina test.

It’s impossible to know what to expect after his last effort, but it would be fantastic if he returns to what he once looked like being, and that’s a monster.

Throw in the Nunthorpe, Snowfall in the Yorkshire Oaks and The Ebor and a great week is ahead.

See you on Wednesday for the 1.50pm! Yeeehaaa!
