Melbourne Cup Hero Mark Zahra Emerges After 24-Hour Drinking Binge

Australian jockey Mark Zahra, who recently won the prestigious Melbourne Cup for the second year in a row, was spotted looking worse for wear after a long night of partying.

A Well-Deserved Celebration

Zahra, known for his love of a good party, decided to let loose after his incredible victory on Without A Fight, a 7-1 longshot. The pair dominated the race, leaving their competitors in the dust.

Wild Festivities Captured on Social Media

Shortly after his win, Zahra was caught on video pouring champagne into trophies with the caption, "No point having the cups if you don't have the Champagne to fill it with." His social media posts revealed a night of non-stop revelry.

Frankie Dettori Joins the Celebration

Surprisingly, it was fellow jockey Frankie Dettori who seemed to be celebrating as if he had won the Melbourne Cup. Dettori, who did not participate in the race, was spotted wearing sunglasses for "medical reasons" during the festivities.

A Sweet Victory

Zahra acknowledged the challenges of the racing world, stating, "Racing is brutal for the majority of the year. It's all fun and games when you win a Melbourne Cup and you drink Champagne for 24 hours, but the rest of the year it's pretty hard. It makes moments like this so much sweeter."

Homeless Man's Incredible Bet

In an unexpected turn of events, a homeless man in New Zealand placed a bet on Without A Fight and ended up winning enough money to make a down payment on a house. Known only as Robert, he bet $5 (£3) on the first four finishers and was overjoyed when they all came in.

Thanks to Zahra's incredible victory, the Melbourne Cup celebrations were truly unforgettable.
