HORSE RACING fans were blown away after footage from Kieran Shoemark’s jockey camera emerged from Royal Ascot.
Shoemark, 26, filmed the King’s Stand Stakes race from his point-of-view perspective – and it made for a thrilling watch.

Kieran Shoemark’s video captured the blistering speed of Royal Ascot horses
Shoemark finished fifth but was able to film Nature Strip’s winning moment
The jockey finished fifth with Equilateral but his footage shows the stunning speed horses reach on the flat.
It was pulsating from start to finish as Equilateral quickly got passed by his rivals from the opening gate before fighting back to finish fifth.
But the different perspective shows just how fast Royal Ascot horses are as they reach speeds in excess of 40mph – and the level of skill required to be a jockey at the event.
Jamie Spencer fell from Khadeem out of the gates – but unfortunately Shoemark was unable to capture that incident.

In fact, Khadeem was the only horse able to keep up with winner Nature Strip by the finish line.
Fans were amazed by the video shared online, and grateful to gain an insight into the rarely-seen race perspective of a jockey.
One wrote on Twitter: “Wonderful footage, Just wonderful.”

And a third said: “Nature Strip cantering along In front ”
Nature Strip’s win is a historic moment as the horse is the first Australian-trained winner at Royal Ascot since Black Caviar in 2012.
Winning jockey James McDonald said after the race: “That was incredible, the team have done a marvellous job.
“I’m so lucky to be on him and he’s just an absolute freak of a horse. I think he’s silenced a few critics with that performance because it was scintillating.
“I didn’t know the riderless horse was riderless and I was thinking ‘how has one come with him?’. He was just incredible.
“I saw the American horse charge through, at the two pole I was thinking ‘are you going to come?’, but he had no response. It was the riderless horse who gave me a fright.”
