Rachael Blackmore vs Paul Townend, Monkfish vs Envoi Allen – Matt Chapman and Templegate say who will win, do you agree?

IT’S the one we’ve all been waiting for.

Monkfish vs. Envoi Allen is a blockbuster clash between two of the most exciting horses in training.

Monkfish grinded out a win at the Cheltenham Festival but Envoi Allen blotched his copy book with a fall and his defeat.

It’s Henry De Bromhead up against Willie Mullins. It’s Rachael Blackmore versus the now-fit Paul Townend.

On paper, it has it all. Lets’s hope they deliver.

Our team have got off the fenced and decided who they think will come out on top in the clash at Punchestown on Tuesday, due off at 6.30.

Matt Chapman

Monkfish is a monster and will grind any horse into submission.

He’s so good I have even thought of ditching Faugheen for him as my new favourite beast. Yeeehaaa!

Templegate

Monkfish was superb in landing his fourth Grade 1 win at the Cheltenham Festival last month.

He didn’t have to leave first gear in going from the front and running them into the ground. There’s more to come and he’s on the road to next season’s Gold Cup.

Monkfish made it four from four over fences at the Cheltenham Festival

Callum Jamieson

I’m more than happy to sit back and enjoy this monster clash, but if a gun was to my head I’d side with Envoi Allen.

He might just be too quick for Monkfish late on and at the prices makes more appeal.

There’s also no doubt Monkfish hard a harder race at the Festival.
