Racing League punter scoops £2500 off just £6.30 with ‘easy’ bet

ONE Racing League punter celebrated a £2500 windfall off a meagre £6.30 punt thanks to his ‘easy’ bet.

The shrewd bettor posted his winning slip online at the end of Week Two’s action from Doncaster last night.

The punter posted their winning slip online

Staking 10p per line in the giant Lucky 63, the punter wagered a total of £6.30 on six races.

And he correctly picked the winner in five of them, with the much-fancied Echo Beach being the only one to let him down.

First up was Saffie Osborne on Tenaya Canyon, who scooped the £25,770 first-place prize on the 9-2 shot for Team Swish.

One out of one, Irish raider Dylan Browne McMonagle then landed the second on 7-2 Night Of Romance in the 6f sprint.

Had Echo Beach triumphed under Laura Pearson then the punter would have landed a whopping £15,000 overall.

But the talented jockey could muster only sixth spot, three lengths behind Josephine Gordon on 3-1 winner Foxtrot Sizzler.

The winning run resumed in the next however when Martin Dwyer landed the first of his quickfire double on 9-2 Bake in the 1m contest.

He backed it up for Team ODDSbible with a half-length victory on 7-2 joint-favourite Corbulo in the next.

Kieran O’Neill’s 3-1 win on Moon Daisy in the last for Team Ireland landed them £25,770 – and the punter a decent payout from a comparatively tiny stake.

Writing alongside a photo of their winning bet, the punter said: “Easy.”

Fellow punters were impressed with his picks too.

One said: “Class bet from you lad. Fair play.”

Another commented: “I need a bet like this!”
