Racing preview: One horse, one longshot & one jockey for Saturday at Lingfield, Kempton, Wetherby, Warwick & Chelmsford

PUNTERS will be looking to line their pockets and spot some future superstars from Saturday’s action.

There could be Cheltenham Festival clues on offer at Kempton while there’s plenty of Flat action at Lingfield and Chelmsford.

Here’s your quick-fire guide to Saturday’s racing.

One horse

Threeunderthrufive (1.50 Warwick)

Paul Nicholls’ brilliant jumper is creeping up the weights but his jumping remains sublime.

Goes for a fourth win in a row with two possible Festival assignments coming up.

One jockey

Christian Howarth

Former Cambridge United footballer is booked for two rides at Chelmsford.

He’s been in brilliant form, getting his first career double on Friday, and is on a rapid rise through the ranks.

Templegate tip

Gericault Roque (3.00 Warwick)

He has a nice weight and wasn’t stopping over 3m2f last time so this longer trip should be ideal.

What’s the big race?

Coral Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle (2.40 Kempton)

Winner of 20-runner Listed race gets £56,950 and fav Marie’s Rock is well fancied by punters.

One longshot

Dans Le Vent (2.40 Kempton)

Near top weight here but Evan Williams can do no wrong here and Isabel Williams claims 5lb.

Not done improving and 12-1 looks good value.

What the bookies are saying

Paul Binfield from Paddy Power said: “No Rematch pulled up last month in a handicap chase at Exeter, but, to be fair, that was his first start for 314 days.

“Clearly better things are expected of Evan Williams’ charge as he was an 18-1 chance when we priced up the Classic Chase at Warwick (3pm) and he’s more than halved in price and is into 15-2.”
