A local shop advertised a ‘3 for £1’ offer on Freddos this weekend, showing you don’t get much for a pound these days.
Unless, of course, you’re one plucky William Hill racing punter, who spent his quid on a five-fold across racing at two Yorkshire tracks on Saturday to land over £20,000!

It all kicked off with the 2.10 at Catterick and Dance Angel at 11/1 who won by a length having been backed into 7/1 before the start.
The only Beverley selection came next with United Front in the 2.40 for Oisin Murphy – also winning by a length – at 10/3. He too went off at shorter odds of 5/2.
Best Odds Guarantee played its part in the next, however, with Fred Bear leaving it very, very late to get up under the Luke Morris drive in the 2.45 at Catterick.
Placed at odds of 6/1, the Neil Mulholland runner went off at 13/2 and snatched the win in the final stride by a nose to land the two-mile contest.
Another Fred came next with Ready Freddie Go landing the 4.30, with 8/1 odds at the time of bet placement before being backed into 13/2 to win by over a length.

Cloud Angel – placed at 9/1 in the 5.05 – went off at 11/1 and there was no such drama with this one, who won going away at the end for a comfortable five-length win.
