ONE genuius punter was celebrating a tasty £3275 windfall after their 545-1 four-fold landed in an under an hour.
The bettor had a Friday night to celebrate after picking out the winners in four races at Brighton and Thirsk.
And they were hardly made to wait to collect their mega sum from just a £6 stake, with only 55 minutes separating the first and last selections.
The Paddy Power punter, from Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, started off with a bang after picking 9-2 Spreadsheet to triumph in a 6f sprint at Brighton at 1.50.
The Jim Goldie-trained sprinter ran on well in the final furlong to see of 10-1 Jack Ryan by a length.
Next up it was over to Thirsk for the 2.10 where the biggest outsider of the bet romped home.
Linda Perratt’s 12-1 roughie Nodasgoodasawink could afford to be eased up approaching the post after surging through from last to first.
The three-year-old filly saw off Cam Hardie on the second-placed 7-2 favourite Naughty Ana easily.
With two of the four coming in the punter held their nerve and opted not to cash out.
It proved wise as the 2.25 at Brighton was won convincingly by 13-8 Wonderful World.
Red-hot David Probert surged four-and-a-quarter lengths clear of 40-1 Paddy K to leave the whole bet resting on the final leg.
It was back to Thirsk to see if 9-2 Mr Trevor could do the business at the 11th time of asking.
And initially it looked like it might all come crashing down.
Drawn ten of ten, Mr Trevor had just one rival behind him at the half-way point.
But finding the soft ground he relished on the near stand side, Shane Gray pressed the button on the Ann Duffiled-trainer horse and he flew home to land the jackpot.
A 545-1 winner and £3275 from £6 made it a Friday to remember.
