Racing star Leonna Mayor posts stunning lingerie photos from Zoo magazine shoot as she’s praised for her body confidence

LEONNA MAYOR looks simply stunning in lingerie in these throwback photos from her Zoo magazine shoot.

The ITV Racing star was dubbed ‘world’s sexiest jockey‘ after getting her silks off for the jaw-dropping collection of photos a few years ago.

Leonna has gone from former jockey on the Flat to one of the most respected racing presenter on TV

These days you’re more likely to find the former Flat jockey wrapped up covering the racing from Newcastle on Sky Sports.

Or alongside the likes of Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani at the big summer racing festivals.

But it was not too long ago she swapped talking horses in front of the camera for posing provocatively.

Looking stylish, Leonna, 31, appears every inch the natural for renowned snapper James Rudland.

Writing alongside a montage of her best pics, Leonna, who included the hashtag #NationalLingerieDay, said on Instagram: “Oh my God she went there, didn’t she?

“Throwback to @zoo_today and @jamesrudland making me look better than I actually do.”

The much respected racing pundit went on to add underneath ‘be proud’, ‘body confidence’ and ‘women supporting women’.

Needless to say punters were bowled over by the photos.

And featuring heavily in the comments were messages supporting her for the decision to pose in underwear.

One said: “Absolute queen! You are STUNNING!”

NATUAL IN FRONT OF CAMERA

Another commented: “Amazing pics Leonna.”

A fellow Instagram user posted: “Magnificent, stunning. Forget horse racing, you sent my heart racing!”

While a Twitter follower replied: “Beautiful Leonna. And very knowledgeable on your horses.”

Leonna opened up to Sun Racing last year on her remarkable rise through the racing ranks.

As one of five children, she was used to fighting to get her voice heard.

But some two million people tuned into her ITV1 debut last year for their coverage of the Epsom Derby.

Mind you, in this day and age, anyone can take a pop via social media.

Leonna, from Stoke-on-Trent, said she has faced more than her fair share but has learned to block it out and focus on the job at hand.

She said: “I think I’m quite a strong person, I’m quite black and white but social media is awful at times.

IGNORES THE TROLLS

“People can criticise my accent or what I’m saying at times but I just think ‘oh, shut up’.

“ITV are not making racing a bubble, we want everyone to come racing or enjoy the coverage at home, whether they want to back a horse or not.

“People say I’m natural now but I never used to be, I got so nervous. I thought I wasn’t set up for TV.

“I would ring up the producer a couple of days before saying I’m so nervous and I can’t do it.

“They kept pushing me and I got better and better but my nerves were horrendous.”
