Rank 80-1 outsider Jeff Kidder has bookies crying with joy… after Black Tears saves them from eight-figure payout

RANK 80-1 outsider Jeff Kidder had the last laugh by romping home at monster odds at Cheltenham.

And the totally unfancied runner had bookies crying with even more joy after Black Tears earlier saved Paddy Power from an eight-figure payout.

Jeff Kidder, whose jockey wears the orange sleeves, was a shock 80-1 winner

Favourite backers had laid into 10-11 Concertista in big-money singles, double and trebles in the race before Jeff Kidder’s ridiculous win.

But the horse – now trained by Denise Foster instead of disgraced Gordon Elliott – won by the bob of a head at 11-1.

Jeff Kidder then added more misery on punters by winning at crazy odds.

The Noel Meade-trained horse had no friends in the betting before the start of the Boodles Juvenile Hurdle at 4.15.

But Sean Flanagan found a serene passage through the big field to see off 9-2 joint favourite Saint Sam.

More to follow.
