Ryan Moore believes King Charles has a shot at a £100,000 victory
Legendary jockey Ryan Moore is confident that King Charles, ridden by him, has what it takes to win £100,000 in the upcoming Cambridgeshire handicap at Newmarket. Moore, widely regarded as one of the best jockeys in the world, will be riding Saga in the race.
Can Saga secure a big win for The King and Queen?
With a win in the 1m1f race worth a substantial six-figure sum, Moore believes that Saga has the potential to come out on top and earn the Royals a hefty payday.
Moore's analysis and predictions
Betfair ambassador Moore said, "He has plenty of big-field handicap form, including over course and distance back in May, so he certainly has his chance if it all clicks for him. However, it is probably fair to say he has no secrets from the handicapper from his current mark now."
Moore also acknowledged the threat posed by the favorite Greek Order, stating, "If things go the way of the favorite Greek Order then he could be hard to beat. I know him very well and he looks better than a 95-rated handicapper to me. But do you want be taking short prices in 35-runner handicaps, especially as the draw can play a huge role in this race? Probably not, but if any horse can prove himself a Lord North type in here it is undoubtedly him."
The Royals' desire for a big win
After Desert Hero's third-place finish in the St Leger, the Royals are eager for a substantial victory. Despite their star three-year-old colt's strong performance, it was ultimately Continuous, ridden by Moore and trained by Aidan O'Brien, who took the top spot.
As always, the outcome of the race remains uncertain, but with Ryan Moore in the saddle, Saga's chances of a lucrative win are certainly worth paying attention to.
