Shocking moment top racing agent swallows LIVE goldfish on dancefloor as racegoers shriek in horror

THIS is the shocking moment a top racing agent swallowed a LIVE goldfish while partying on the dancefloor – forcing shrieks of horror from racegoers.

Hamish Macauley, a rising star of the multi-million pound bloodstock world, is shown in one video picking a fish out of a plastic container and gulping it down.

He gives up and just necks the fish down

The agent throws the plastic container on the floor and celebrates like he has just landed a big winner

After sticking his tongue out he parties on the dancefloor to the shock of onlookers

A separate video from the same day showed Macauley hold a goldfish in his hand before chucking it into his mouth

One onlooker appears stunned as the rising star of the bloodstock world throws the fish back

Macauley then celebrates with the fish swimming round his mouth

He said the shocking scenes were totally out of character, will never happen again and insisted he is ‘profusely sorry’ for his actions.

At the end of one clip, Macauley throws the box the fish was in to the floor before sticking his tongue out and dancing.

In another video, Macauley, who appears to be wearing a protective boot on his right leg, picks a goldfish out with his hand and sticks it in his mouth.

The incidents took place at the prestigious Punchestown Festival just outside Dublin earlier this week.

Music can be heard playing in the background of the videos and one girl screams ‘don’t eat it’ before Macauley chucks a fish into his gob.

Another racegoer covers his mouth in shock after seeing the fish, a type of carp commonly kept as a pet, disappear.

One of the clips wrongly claimed Macauley paid a young girl €100 (£88.50) for the fish.

Macauley, who is from Ireland, told Sun Racing: “I am obviously hugely disappointed with myself for my actions in this video.

“I cannot apologise more profusely for my behaviour.

“I am genuinely very sorry, this was totally out of character and will never happen again.”

Macauley, who is used to dealing in trades in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, has received praise from the likes of three-time Grand National-winning trainer Gordon Elliott.

One big-spending owner in the UK has called the bloodstock star ‘professional and personable’.

Macauley, a respected name in the racing industry, has sourced a number of top racehorses on the Flat and over jumps.

He found Group 1 winner Lezoo, who Frankie Dettori rode to Group 3 success at Ascot last July.

Macauley also bought recent Cheltenham Festival winner Stay Away Fay for £39,000 before selling him on for a whopping £305,000.

Group Two winner Crypto Force – now owned by football superagent Kia Joorabchian – and Grade 2 hurdle winner Scriptwriter are two other big names sourced by Macauley.

He launched his own bloodstock company in 2017 and has since shown his ability to sell relatively cheap horses on for huge sums of money.

The bloodstock industry is worth around £500million to the UK economy and supports over 19,000 jobs.
