Shocking moment TV reporter is MOONED and licked on ear during live coverage of Melbourne Cup

THIS is the shocking moment a TV reporter is licked and then MOONED during a live broadcast of the Melbourne Cup.

Poor reporter Lee Steele was speaking to the camera from Ascot racecourse in Perth when the rowdy crowd behind her struck.

The poor reporter also had her ear licked despite social distancing guidelines in light of coronavirus

First, a woman in a flowery dress holding a drink walked up behind mum-of-two Steele, put a hand round her neck and then licked her ear.

All social distancing guidelines looked out the window as fans behind the pair cheered.

But the worst was yet to come.

As Steele continued her address on Channel 10 a man jumped behind her and dropped his trousers, exposing his bum.

Steele was totally oblivious but the camera operator quickly tried to zoom in to hide what was going on.

They were not quick enough, however, and the bloke’s bare bottom was shown to all watching from home.

With Steele none the wiser to what had happened, reporters in the studio let her know what she had missed.

Predictably, she looked totally gutted at what had gone on.

Social media lit up in response to the debauched scenes, which came after 25-1 Twilight Payment landed the spoils for Irish trainer Joseph O’Brien.

One user said: “Is the moon during the Perth live cross the highlight of the Channel 10 Melbourne Cup coverage?”

Another wrote: “@Channel10AU get your poor reporter the hell out of that disgusting mob in Perth.

“A woman LICKED her then some drunk idiot mooned the camera. Is it really worth her health, being there to get tacky footage of p***ed bogans?”
