Sir Alex Ferguson and Dame Judi Dench Strike Up Unlikely Partnership in Horse Racing

Sir Alex Ferguson and Dame Judi Dench Make Big Bucks with Star Racehorse

Sir Alex Ferguson and Dame Judi Dench have formed an unexpected alliance, and it's paying off big time. The renowned former Manchester United boss and James Bond actress have joined forces with multi-millionaire businessman Ged Mason and the family of the late owner Andy Stewart to race the horse Outlaw Peter. Their partnership has proven successful, with the seven-year-old gelding winning his most recent race and accumulating over £66,000 in career earnings.

Star Performer

Outlaw Peter, trained by Paul Nicholls, started the season strong with a comfortable win at Newton Abbot. Despite the challenging ground conditions, the horse scored a victory by about a length in the Class 3 novice chase. While it may not have been the toughest race of the day, the £7,000 first-place prize is nothing to scoff at. The win has boosted Outlaw Peter's reputation and has racing enthusiasts excited for what the future holds.

Partnership in Success

While Dame Judi has been listed as a co-owner with the Stewart family since April 2021, Mason and Fergie joined the partnership in November of the same year. Since then, Outlaw Peter has achieved five victories, showcasing the fruitful collaboration between these high-profile individuals from different industries.

Potential for Cheltenham

Following Outlaw Peter's recent triumph, trainer Paul Nicholls has hinted that the novice might participate in Cheltenham's Showcase meeting at the end of October. With more wins, Outlaw Peter could potentially become a Festival runner in events like the Plate or Ultima, adding even more excitement to this unlikely partnership's journey in the world of horse racing.

Fergie's Other Horse

Sir Alex Ferguson, known for his love of horse racing, also has another horse he named Hampden Park. This three-year-old colt, trained by Andrew Balding, has yet to secure a win in two races but has attracted attention due to Fergie's choice of name, inspired by the football ground with the best atmosphere.
