An obvious one to kick things off.
Nicky Henderson’s superstar chaser in head and shoulders above his rivals on form and although he suffered his first defeat over fences last time, he still showed more than enough to suggest he’s the one to topple here.
CIEL DE NEIGE – 3.35 Newbury
A fascinating runner for Willie Mullins, last year’s Boodles Handicap third was beaten at short odds in maiden company recently but clearly has more room in his mark.
Aidan Coleman takes over now and his mount is still very unexposed over hurdles.
NUBE NEGRA – 2.05 Warwick
Classy chaser is the apple of Dan Skelton’s eye and ran a huge race to finish second in Grade 1 company at Sandown when last seen.
This is a slight drop in class and he can make it two from two over the Warwick fences.
CLONDAW CASTLE – 3.15 Warwick
Very talented sort has plenty of ability on his day, including when second at Ascot on his penultimate start.
Not as good at Cheltenham last time but he had an excuse and this track should suit his running style.
