Want to see Baaeed? Then get here early warns William Haggas ahead of what could be horse’s last appearance in Britain

WILLIAM HAGGAS has told fans desperate to catch a glimpse of Baaeed to ‘get there early’ ahead of what could be his last appearance in Britain.

The unbeaten superstar is a perfect ten from ten and will likely race just one more time.

Brilliant Baaeed will be the star of the show on the open weekend – but get there early to see him

That will either be in the Arc de Triomphe over 1m4f on October 2 or at Ascot Champions Day over 1m2f 13 days later.

But before then the Shadwell-owned sensation will make a rare public appearance on Sunday week.

Baaeed will be the star attraction on day two of the Henry Cecil Open Weekend in Newmarket.

Haggas says the all-conquering four-year-old is set to get an early run on Warren Hill at around 8am.

That will be his last public workout before bringing down the curtain on his legendary career.

But Haggas warned punters eager to see him to set their alarms because they won’t be hanging around.

He said: “All being well, Baaeed will canter on the Sunday morning along with a few others including Addeybb.

“We may well be out first, so if people want to get a glimpse of him they should plan to get there early.

“We always support the Warren Hill event and hopefully the appearance of Baaeed will boost the number of visitors to the Henry Cecil Open Weekend.”

The two-day event is designed to give the public and punters a chance to get up close and personal with the world’s best horses.

Top trainers including Charlie Fellowes, Roger Varian, George Boughey, James Fanshawe and James Ferguson will all open their doors.

Other sites taking part include the National Horseracing Museum, National Stud, Jockey Club Rooms, British Racing School and Tattersalls.

Proceeds from the event will go to charity, with a record £60,000 raised last year.
