Watch Envoi Allen’s astonishing burst of speed as superstar horse extends perfect record to ten wins from ten races

ENVOI ALLEN demolished his rivals to extend his perfect unbeaten record to ten wins from ten races.

Gordon Elliott’s superstar proved once again simply too good for all the others with an electrifying turn of foot to win by eight and a half lengths.

Landing fractionally behind Rachael Blackmore on Assemble two out, Jack Kennedy asked the 2-11 favourite for a gear change.

And in the blink of an eye the two-time Cheltenham Festival winner left them all behind with ease.

Envoi Allen – described as the ‘perfect horse’ by one racing fan – has won the Champion Bumper and Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at the March meet.

And now he has been cut to 7-4 with Paddy Power and 15-8 with Betfair to win the Marsh Novices’ Chase early next year.

This win over fences in the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse proved the six-year-old has retained all of his ability, as bigger prizes approach on the horizon.

And trainer Elliott has warned all the rest that there is more to come from his top talent.

He said: “A clear round is all you want and Jack said he was perfect the whole way.

“He actually said that because the second-last was tricky for us last year [where Samcro fell] so he wanted to get him back on his hocks for it.

“They came up around him, but once he gave him a squeeze at the back of the second last it was all over.

“The one thing Jack did say was that he was having a good blow afterwards, so I would say there is plenty of improvement to come from him.

“He hasn’t been killed coming here today. Cheltenham is the plan.”
