Watch idiot racegoer throw drink at horses as furious punters call for lifetime ban after disgraceful Yarmouth scenes

THIS is the disgraceful moment an idiot racegoer is caught throwing his drink at horses.

Furious punters demanded a lifetime ban for the man after Sky Sports Racing cameras showed him launching his beverage at Yarmouth on Sunday.

The racegoer was captured on camera launching his drink at horses as they ran past

Fortunately the plastic cup didn’t cause anyone any harm – but that didn’t excuse the disgraceful behaviour

Danny Muscutt had just won a Class 5 handicap at 3.06 on 9-2 favourite Captain Kane.

The horses were still running when the male racegoer sent his drink flying through the air onto the track.

He threw what appeared to be a pint of beer over the heads of a man and woman in front, losing his sunglasses in the process.

Fortunately it looked like the plastic glass did not make its way all the way over to the thoroughbreds and jockeys hurtling past.

A clip of the incident was posted on Twitter, where racing fans demanded swift action in identifying and banning the man.

One said simply: “Should be banned for life.”

Another commented: “Ban him from every racecourse in the country.”

One post read: “What a w****r. Hope they get him thrown out ASAP.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “Considering how many race fans complain about younger racegoers and their drinking – this gives the lie to that generalisation.

“What an unthinking, utterly stupid thing to do.”

While one racing fan said: “Kick him out! Should be fined and never allowed on a racecourse again.”

A punter was kicked off Fairyhouse racecourse in Ireland on New Year’s Day for doing the same.

TV footage captured the idiot throwing a drink at dual Grand National winner Davy Russell as he rode Grand Paradis to the finish.

A spokesperson for Arena Racing Company, who run Yarmouth racecourse, said: “The Racecourse team were aware of the issue, and security looked to identify the man in question within the crowd throughout the afternoon.

“Suffice to say, behaviour such as this is not acceptable and anyone acting as such will not be welcome at any ARC venue in the future.”
