Watch ITV Racing star Luke Harvey fall flat on his face while trying to clear Cheltenham jump – leaving fans in stitches

ITV Racing star Luke Harvey knows a thing or two about horses.

But he clearly has no idea what it takes to jump like one, as this hilarious video shows.

Telly presenter Harvey was out on the Cheltenham racecourse for the big November meet.

And he thought he would give viewers some indication what the runners and riders go through as they make their way over the iconic track.

Roaring ‘come on!’ in his run-up, Harvey looks to be making good speed approaching take off.

But then he plants one foot on the obstacle before falling flat on his face.

Unhurt and laughing, the trainer gets back to his feet and quips: “I’d have made it in my younger days.”

Fans watching at home were absolutely loving his antics.

One tweeted: “Love Luke! He is brilliant.”

Another posted: “The Stan Laurel of horse racing but great fun.”

Harvey, here on the left with McCoy and Chamberlin, had fans in stitches

A fellow user wrote: “This cracked me up so much.”

One joked: “Nearly a refusal.”

And another viewer said: “What a wally Luke. Funny but still a wally.”
