OISIN MURPHY gets pranked by jockey mates in this brilliant throwback video.

The champion Flat jockey, who turned 26 on Monday, falls for a ‘rotten trick’ that left punters in stitches.

A fresh-faced Murphy falls for a ‘rotten’ prank
Murphy is livid when he gets back in the car and he realises he’s fallen for the trick

In the clip, a much younger Murphy is shown sitting in the back of a car holding his passport.

Wearing a shirt and tie he starts searching round frantically, saying: “Where are the other passports? There’s only two.”

Murphy repeats, ‘where’s the other passport?’ before another person in the car points out the window and instructs: “Just go out there now.”

The young jockey bolts out the car door with the passports and walks a few steps before realising he has been got.

Murphy was tricked into thinking you needed to show your passport when travelling from England to Wales.

Livid, he jumps back in the car and blurts out: “You stupid f***ing w***ers.”

The clip was originally posted by jockey Tom Brown, who captioned the video: “Dual G1 winning jockey Oisin Murphy before his first ride in UK.

“Using his passport to get across the toll bridge into Wales.”

Punters were cracking up watching the clip, which was posted online again to celebrate Murphy’s birthday and show far he’s come since those days.

One said: “Poor lad looked scared!”

Another commented: “Very funny, rotten trick!”

A fellow Twitter user wrote: “I saw this, brilliant! He had the last laugh though.”

Fair to say that’s right.

Murphy is on the brink of retaining his jockey title after another hugely successful year in which he has won £3.5million.

The jockey has finished outside the top three just once in his past seven races, winning four of them.

And he thinks he can be crowned champion jockey again – so long as he stays out of trouble.

Murphy, who is banned for three days over the next fortnight, said after a four-timer at Goodwood on Tuesday: “I need to stay out of the stewards’ room and keep riding winners.

“But I’m getting great support from so many different people, I just need to keep kicking.”
