When is Royal Ascot 2022?
Royal Ascot 2022 starts on Tuesday, June 14 and runs for five days until Saturday, June 18.
The gates open at 10.30am each day and the first race is at 2.30pm.
The last of the seven races on each day will be at 6.10pm.
And don’t forget, at 2pm on each day of racing there will be a royal procession.
At 8pm the party stops in the Royal, Queen Anne and Winsdor Enclosures.
But it keeps going until 9pm on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Village Enclosure.
What can I wear to Royal Ascot and is there a style guide?
Royal Ascot is famous for pomp and ceremony – and stylish fashion.
There is a new dress code for this year and racegoers are expected to abide by it.

But in short, it goes like this…
Royal Enclosure
Women
Dresses and skirts should be of modest length defined as falling just above the knee or longer.
Dresses and tops should have straps of one inch or greater. Strapless, off the shoulder, halter neck and spaghetti straps are not permitted.
Dresses and tops with sheer straps and sleeves are also not permitted.
Hats should be worn.
Men
Either black, grey or navy morning dress which must include a waistcoat and tie, black or grey top hat and black shoes worn with socks.
Queen Anne Enclosure
Women
A hat, headpiece or fascinator should be worn at all times.
Strapless and sheer dresses and tops are not permitted.
Trouser suits must be full-length and jumpsuits should fall below the knee. Shorts are not allowed.
Men
A full-length suit with a collared shirt and tie. Jackets and trousers should be matching.
A tie should be worn at all times and no bow ties or cravats.
Socks must be worn and jeans, chinos and trainers are banned.
Village enclosure
Women
Same as Queen Anne but smaller hats or fascinators are recommended, as are wedges and block heels.
Men
Same as Queen Anne.
Windsor Enclosure
Women
No official dress code but smart daywear is expected.
Men
Recommended to wear a jacket, collared shirt and full-length trousers.
