Boris Becker is the ‘devil’ who thinks the ‘world revolves around him’ even after prison, furious estranged wife blasts

BORIS Becker’s estranged wife has blasted the shamed star as the “devil” who thinks the “world revolves around him”.

Lilly Becker slammed her husband for his poor treatment of their 13-year-old son, Amadeus.

Three-time Wimbledon winner Becker spent seven and a half months in jail after hiding £2.5million of assets and loans when he went bankrupt in 2017.

He was released in December and deported back to Germany on a £2million private jet.

Dutch model and TV presenter Lilly criticised her husband for neglecting his son – and said he had “ruined his reputation all by himself” with his jail sentence.

She claimed Becker didn’t call his son for 10 days after he was released from prison, and spoke to him for only two minutes on Christmas Day.

“Boris can be charming and loving when he wants to, but also extremely hurtful with words. A devil,” she told German newspaper BILD.

“Prison didn’t make Boris a better person. Boris lives in his world, in which everything revolves around Boris Becker.”

She added: “It is not my fault that he went to prison. He ruined his reputation all by himself.

“If we didn’t have our son, he wouldn’t play a role in my life any more. He should simply take responsibility for his child, that’s all I ask.

“Boris doesn’t care whether we’re doing well or badly. We used to have an honest love.

“When I started to emancipate myself in marriage, there were arguments. Also because of Boris’ lies about his finances.”

Asked if Becker could show love, Lilly said: “Boris loves his children and his mother. In the form in which love is possible for him.”

She previously told how her husband “had it all and f***ed it up” and fumed: “It’s always the women who have to clean up the mess.”

Lilly said Becker, who began commentating on Wimbledon for the BBC in 2002, had tried to win custody of Amadeus after they separated in 2018 – but had failed.

He started paying child support at the time, but she said she hasn’t received a penny since last April when he was found guilty and sentenced to 30 months in jail.

The model said she doesn’t even know Becker’s current address, making divorce proceedings difficult.

Her lawyer, Patricia Cronemeyer, said: “Mr Becker is difficult to get hold of and does not provide any reliable information about the current state of affairs.

“There is no financial agreement and no court date set.”

Lilly married Becker in June 2009 and Amadeus, born in February 2010, is their only child.

They announced their separation in 2018.

Although the split was described as “amicable”, Lilly told BILD Becker had kicked her and Amadeus out even though they had nowhere to live.

SE has contacted Becker’s reps for comment.

In an interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV last May, asked if she still loved her husband, Lilly replied: “Of course I do, we all love him.”

After his release from prison, Becker told German broadcaster Sat1 he thought he was going to die at Wandsworth jail.

He said: “I thought I was going to lose my life in Wandsworth.

“Someone, a murderer I later found out, wanted my coat and he wanted money and he said he would kill me if he didn’t get it.

“Then in Huntercombe another murderer said he wanted to kill me. My food tray was shaking.”

The former multimillionaire admitted he “went crazy” while serving nearly eight harrowing months as he feared for his life.

Becker – stripped and searched after being jailed in April – added: “It’s extremely full, extremely dirty, extremely dangerous, murderers, sex offers, drug deals, you meet all types.

“You go out of your cell and you have to look after your own skin because the guards don’t do it for you.”

He celebrated his 55th birthday in prison, saying “it was difficult”.

Becker earned an estimated £38 million during his tennis career becoming the youngest player to win the men’s championship at Wimbledon in 1985, aged 17.
