Fans Convinced Andy Murray Takes a Swipe at Novak Djokovic After Serb Tells Davis Cup Crowd to ‘Shut Up’

Andy Murray Fires Back?

Fans are convinced that Andy Murray has fired a sly dig at Novak Djokovic after the Serbian player told the Davis Cup crowd to "shut up" during a recent match. Murray's alleged response comes after Djokovic's fiery outburst during the Davis Cup quarter-final tie in Malaga, where he accused fans of trying to annoy him.

Djokovic Silences British Fans

Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, secured a victory for his country in the Davis Cup quarter-final by defeating Cameron Norrie 6-4 6-4. During the match, Djokovic unleashed a fierce blast at the British fans, urging them to be quiet. He even blew two kisses to one rowdy supporter.

A Thank You and a Thumbs Down Emoji

After the match, Murray took to X to post a message of thanks to the rowdy crowd for their support. However, fans quickly noticed a thumbs down emoji at the end of his post, leading many to believe that Murray was taking a dig at Djokovic.

History of Jabs

This isn't the first time that Murray and Djokovic have seemingly taken shots at each other. Several weeks ago, Murray responded to a video clip of Djokovic hitting Roger Federer directly with a shot at the 2014 Shanghai Masters, saying it was a legitimate play but pointing out Djokovic's reaction to being hit by others in the past. The tension between the two players also surfaced during the Italian Open this year when Djokovic accused Norrie of not playing fair after the Brit fired a ball into him.

It seems like the rivalry between Murray and Djokovic is far from over, and fans will be watching closely to see if there are any further exchanges between the two tennis stars.
