I am the world’s No1 tennis influencer but I’ve never been to Wimbledon and I can’t believe I’ve never had Pimms

SHE is tennis’ No1 influencer, but Rachel Stuhlmann has missed out on some of Wimbledon’s famous traditions.

The brunette beauty, 32, jets all around the world watching the sport and is a regular at the US Open and made a trip to Roland Garros.

Her glam lifestyle has also seen her attract over 300,000 followers to her Instagram account.

‘I’ve never been to Wimbledon’

However, she has yet to attend a Wimbledon tournament, even though she was once a guest at the Queen’s Club Championships.

She told SunSport: “In 2018, I was asked to do some interviews with the players at the Queen’s Club tournament.

“So that was my first time I’d ever been to London. I loved it so much.

“The energy, vibe and people… everyone was so nice to me.

“I loved that tournament so much, I thought it was so cool how the courts were in the heart of West Kensington.

“Unfortunately right after the tournament, I had to go to Budapest for more tennis work and was not able to stay for the start of Wimbledon.

“But before I left, I made a point to go walk around Wimbledon village and see the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

“Seeing the grass courts and experiencing the quiet grounds right before the tournament started was a really special moment for me that I will never forget! The club was gorgeous!”

Food and drink

As tennis fans descend upon SW19, plenty will be planning on indulging in fancy champagne, strawberries and cream, and they might enjoy a tipple or two of Pimms and lemonade.

While Rachel welcomes the traditional fare, she admitted she is gutted that she hasn’t sampled the All England Lawn Tennis Club’s famous menu.

“Wimbledon’s traditions and excellence is what make it so deeply special. It’s the prime example of class in tennis,” she said.

Rachel regularly attends tennis tournaments, including the US Open

Last year, Rachel enjoyed a trip to Roland Garros in Paris

However, Rachel is sad she hasn’t enjoyed Wimbledon yet or its traditions

“All of Wimbledon’s traditions, the grass courts, dress code, the champagne, strawberries and cream, royalty – it’s all so fun.

“I love strawberries and cream. It’s probably my favourite tournament snack.

“Unfortunately, I still have yet to try Pimms and Lemonade. I still can’t believe I haven’t yet.”

Changing perceptions

Like golf’s most famous influencer Paige Spiranac, Rachel has pushed the boundaries with what she wears while playing her trusted sport.

Both golf and tennis share the same stuffy establishment that doesn’t take kindly to skimpy outfits. But Rachel is adamant that shouldn’t affect how she is perceived as she strives for changes in the sport.

“Throughout my tennis journey, I constantly have pushed the limits with purpose,” she continued.

“It’s unfortunate that some people attribute my success solely to my clothing choices, which seems to undermine my personal achievements and hard work in the tennis industry.

“Yes, I dress differently from the norm, but my passion and knowledge of the game remains extremely strong.

“I firmly believe that tennis should evolve to be more progressive, accessible, and inclusive.

“I’ve found that sharing my thoughts and posting on these matters bring forth criticism, but also constructive discussion which helps me to drive positive change which is all I want.”

In honour of Wimbledon Rachel has released a collection of London inspired threads

“I really want to make people feel welcome to the game and more at ease because I know many share similar concerns, and discomfort in the industry keeps some from participating in the sport.

“The recognition online is fun, but my motivation goes beyond that, encompassing my entire career, goals, and values.

“I really aim to be an example of how women can embody a wide range of great qualities including attractiveness, intelligence, athleticism, and talent.

“The clothes I choose to wear on the court hold significance and I encourage women to prioritise wearing what makes them personally feel their best and most comfortable.”

In the meantime, Rachel has launched a range of clothing in time for Wimbledon, The London Collection.

It features threads including trendy vintage sweatshirts, T-shirts, polo shirts, hats, and much more.

Speaking of the designs, she said: “The vintage cross racquet logo and Royal logo were fun ways for me to honour and acknowledge the elegance of tennis in beautiful London.”

It’s just a pity she couldn’t honour us with her presence this year.
