Is Novak Djokovic vaccinated against Covid-19?

TENNIS legend Novak Djokovic is back in action at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Though Djokovic was deported from Australia last year ahead of the 2022 Open having had his visa revoked and was banned from entering the country for three years.

But he has since had his three-year ban overturned

Aussie immigration chiefs have, however, since opted to overturn the ban given to the Serbian.

But he could still be unable to play at the US Open later this year, having also missed out on the Flushing Meadows tournament last year.

Is Novak Djokovic vaccinated?

Novak Djokovic decided not to get vaccinated for Covid-19.

And the Serbian sensation – who has won 21 Grand Slams – has said he would rather miss out on future tennis trophies than be forced to get the Covid vaccine.

Speaking to the BBC in February 2022, Djokovic said: “I was never against vaccination, but I’ve always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body.

“Because the principles of decision making on my body are more important than any title or anything else. I’m trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can.”

Djokovic, 35, is currently second in the list of men’s all-time Grand Slam winners, one behind Rafael Nadal’s 22.
